ELTAI takes immense pleasure in extending a hearty welcome to the 8th International and 44th National Conference for members of the language teaching fraternity hosted by the prestigious SRM University, Chennai.

21st century English language learners come to classrooms with knowledge of places, languages, customs and cultures. They come with optimism, energy, and unique perspectives of their own. Through interactions with teachers, classmates and other learners they learn many things that enrich their lives and which enable them to face the increasingly diverse workplaces and communities. In short, today's learners are digital learners and will become valued members of tomorrow's global economy.

This International Conference is a platform to initiate discussion on learning styles and strategies and to evolve appropriate teaching materials and methods, classroom practices and evaluation and hoping to find new avenues to meet the 21st century learners' needs and demands.
